Studio Visit with Caitlin Karolczak

Studio Visit with Caitlin Karolczak is a portrait painter with an old world studio in Northeast’s Grain Belt Bottling House. Not only is Karolczak’s study of human body and anatomy in her content unique and exceptional, but so is her use of antique paints and materials. When she’s not staying busy painting she’s an antique dealer and a co-owner of Spinario Design & Gallery.

Mismo

I really wish I had this skill level in sewing. I am currently planning a nice weekender bag. This bag is a great piece of inspiration.

Booked

I did a studio visit with Kim and Namdev of MVA Studio back in October of 2010. Recently, the MVA studio has released a book on typography called Function, Restraint, and Subversion in Typography. Check it out!

Envelope

Damn you Rodarte meets Opening Ceremony! This is ridiculous, I should have known that when these two fashion houses meet they would make something genius. Superb.

Luzzi

Another Etsy post, I know. I can't help it these Golden Forest Boots are stunning!

Tourniquete

I love old medical stuff. It's usually interesting and to me, aesthetically pleasing; like this Wooden First Aid Kit.

The Best Skateboarding Video Ever

I'm in love, it's the head over heels kind, literally I guess. I came across this video on a few different blogs. It's Kilian Martin for Man About Town, I usually don't go for the skateboarder type but, I definably go for the refined throw-back with snazzy socks type. Though, I did go through a phase at age about 13 when I started skateboarding. I love everything about this video: the clothes, the location, the time of day, & the music. My lousy film stills do it no justice so go see it for yourself. Did I mention I have a huge crush on this video? Talk about a dancing dreamboat.
